About Me

I am just me mostly. I have been married to my dh for 43 years - spent 26 plus years of that time as an Air Force wife and now, as the wife of a police officer (same guy, different job!) I have four wonderful children, 7 adorable grandchildren, my Dad, 93 years old also lives with us, and I get to watch life from so many sides now. I love being a part of SG because not only do I get the best of the best in digi-scrapping, but I have made many wonderful friends on SG since I have been a member. I consider my SG friends to be some of my very best friends now and am still in awe of how close one can become to these friends just knowing them through SG and not in person. I love the fact that SG is a user-friendly neighborhood and it is definitely my second home. It makes me happy to be a part of this amazing organization, and I start each and every day with SG and my coffee. My life is full and happy most of the time, but when it is not, and I am going through difficult times, there is always an SG friend out there to talk to and I love that part the most.

    I actually think it's because he makes it in the microwave..... I add baking soda to my peanut brittle, and it's not that texture. His is more like a sponge candy. :) It does melt in your mouth. BTW it's gone LOL.

    Peggy, Rich injured his back and the prednisone is supposed to help reduce the inflammation and lessen the pain - it worked - the swelling has all gone down now - he hated taking it too.....made him feel awful. Thanks for asking

    Hi Sara. I'm wondering what your dh is being treated for with prednisone. I'm also on it for life-one mg every other day unless I have a relapse then I bound up to 60. I hate it! Wish him well from a fellow prednisone user.
